Christine Hewitson
Volunteer Extraordinaire

Christine's generosity with her time and talents has been a wonderful asset to KEEN.  She has taken on the grueling task of transfering the member's list from a non-user friendly program to one that is user friendly, as well as, updating the list.  Thanks to Christine's hard work KEEN will be able to keep our valuable members updated with the latest news and events.

Thank You Christine for your patience and hard work!

Christine (Chrissie) Hewitson raised in south sound area, Gig Harbor.  Attended Utah State Univeristy where I played soccer.  Transferred to The Evergreen State College to finish my B.A. in environmental studies.   I later went back to attend Univeristy of Puget sound to earn a masters of arts in teaching.  I taught junior high for several years.  Two things I am passionate about: teaching and soccer.

I love to spend my time gardening, camping, and running.  I dream of traveling the world with my husband.  I have a daughter, Jeanne, who was named after my late grandmother.

Why conservation?  For me I believe strongly in conservation because I want people to enjoy the beauty and authenticity this great state has offered me.  I have spent my life enjoying the amazing outdoors Washington has to offer and I want to do what small part I can to help preserve our lands.  What a fantastic place to live, work and raise a family!  I think Washington is a beautiful and special place worth conserving.  Life is good in Washington!  I think the KEEN is an inspiration.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
