e3 Winter Fair: Greeening in the New Year!

e3 represents "Education, Environment and Economy". 

 e3 Winter Fair attendees are able to visit booths from up to 30 local organizations, non-profits, and businesses.  Each booth describes the ways in which the business, agency, or non-profit organization is supporting and enhancing our community’s economic, environmental and educational well being.

These donation are sold to the public at a 50% - 95% discount of what one would expect to pay at a traditional store. Those who donate are able to receive an income tax deduction for their donations, while the public saves money making purchases at our store.

Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group

The "Salmon in our Backyards" project encourages landowners to install buffers of native vegetation along streams and rivers. Landowners will be able to pick up copies of a new publication, "Welcoming Salmon to our Backyards", which provides buffer information and a template for planting. Lists of local native plant suppliers and other resources will be on hand, along with information about potential funding assistance.

Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway

The main goal of the Scenic Byway Program, to merge road safety with recreation access. This historic stretch of highway and its surrounding landscape are an under-appreciated treasure but a recent partnership has been formed to update and implement the Corridor Management Plan and bring the Byway into the 21st century.
